Commissioned by Akademi (London) in 2011, Revanta made two short contemporary pieces that premiered at the Alchemy Festival at London’s Southbank Centre.

Dancer in Me
Based on a poem by legendary dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai, Dancer in Me attempts to juxtapose movement and poetry to celebrate the exuberance of dance itself.

Choreographed with movements derived from the ancient South Indian martial-arts form of Kalaripayattu. Untitled is a fast and energetic piece following the personal journey of a self motivated individual. A personal tribute to the story of Eklavya from the Mahabharata, this piece explores notions of aloness and the source of energy that keeps us going.
